Who Can Be Tested?
Currently, we are providing the test by appointment only to those who are free of COVID-19 symptoms, including fever, cough, and difficulty breathing. This test is best suited for people looking to confirm they are free of the virus ahead of travel or getting back to work.
Frequently Asked Questions
I do not meet the above criteria, can I still get tested?
Due to limited testing kits, we are reserving appointments for those who are symptomatic or at a high risk. As more tests become available, we will expand testing opportunities to everyone. Rest assured that we continue to work with key constituencies to increase test capacity in response to this public health crisis.
What is a nasal swab?
Called a nasopharyngeal swab, it allows us to collect a sample from the uppermost part of the throat, behind the nose.
Our medical staff will gently insert what looks like a long Q-tip as far as it will go into a nose, twirl the swab to get a good sample, then remove it and place it in a vial, which is then sent to a lab for testing.
Is the antibody test FDA-approved?
These tests have been authorized by the FDA under an Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) for use by authorized laboratories.
How long does it take to get my results?
The expected turnaround time is 24 – 48 hours, from the date of receipt at the laboratory.
